Facebook will be nothing but videos by 2021

Facebook may currently be the top social media site and away the largest social network on the Internet ,but with videos like Chewbacca Mom and even peeps giving birth now being broadcast over the site,it is not the prediction of this writer or some social network researcher, Facebook is saying that within five years, our fave social media site could be ALL videos.Facebook’s vice president for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. She also believes that Facebook “will be definitely mobile,” which we can only assume means accessed almost exclusively on mobile devices.it seems the transition might be great for some and not so awesome for others, Zuckerberg thinks it is important, “If I was having a bet, it’d be video, video, video,” she said,FB users currently watch an average 100 million hours of video on Facebook mobile every single day, with daily views increasing from one billion to eight billion in just one year. In fact, I doubt Facebook’s management would want that to happen seeing as it owns image sharing service Instagram (although it can also handle video). With today’s Facebook being so much about sharing links, tagging friends and posting pics, it’s hard to imagine a video-dominated FB. But who’s to say what will happen in five years?Mendelsohn says the amount of text appearing on Facebook is declining every year while video grows and virtual reality is coming. On those points I’m sure she’s correct, but by 2021 I expect plenty of the billion+ people using Facebook to still be tapping out sentences of text and sharing them with their little community of followers.
